What is the date/ years to use as a reference when we say B.C. or A.C.?

BC means Before Christ, or before Jesus was born. AC or AD means 'anno domini,' Latin for 'In the Year of the Lord' or after Jesus was born. Many people think it means 'After Death,' or after Jesus died but if that were true there would be 30- something unaccounted for years when Jesus was still alive.

What is the date/ years to use as a reference when we say B.C. or A.C.?
Gobydude has the right of it...just got done watching a discovery show on this very topic.
Reply:BC-before christ

AC-after christ
Reply:The next year after 1 BC is by convention 1 AD, also written as 1 CE (common era). Year 1 BC can also be written 1 BCE (before common era).
Reply:I usually use C.E and B.C.E...but yes the previous answer was correct...2006 yrs ago was C.E. or A.D. year 1...the year before that was B.CE. or B.C. -1
Reply:2006 Years Ago. Ha.
