(a) Is astrology worth while studying? (b) Offer me information about it? (c) Offer me some reference points?

if it's worth studying is up to you, should know upon first reading it, if you think it's worthwhile. i think it can help someone learn about their personality more, and what their shortcomings are.

a place to start would be http://www.astro.com where you can get a free chart and interpretation

another good site is http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com

if you learn how to read the chart, with the aspects the planets make with each other, you can type the aspects into google and find other interpretations of them.

It depends upon what you want to learn. If you want to know more about what drives you and your potential, then it is a worthwhile study.

We are more than the sum total of our sun sign. We are our mercury sign (how we think), our venus sign (the things we appreciate), our mars sign (what drives us), and our moon (our emotions). Not only does it matter what sign all these planets are in, but what aspect (angle) they form to other planets tell us if the energy they bring is easy or difficult.

Each planet has a sign that it rules, one it feels good in, one that it feels weak in and one it is in conflict with. Where your planets fall determine that energy's influence in your life, as well as it's placement in your house (area of life).

Learning astrology, really learning, is a study. You won't learn it in 6 months. The rewards for understanding yourself and your potential are great. Energy is neither good or bad, you choose how to use it. The effects of one planet on another strongly influence the energy in question.

To do your chart properly, you must know the exact time of your birth and the place. This determines the rising sign (which many people prefer to read in the daily horoscope section in addition to their sun sign) as well as house placement and aspects to other planets.

If you are truly interested, go to myastro.com and draw up a chart for yourself. Then go to the library or book store and get some books. I suggest "The only way to learn astrology" series by March and McEvers. It's a good starting point for home schooling.

Good luck!
Reply:I have never been a follower of astrology, and I don't put much stock in the purposefully vague answers seen in magazines and papers. Despite this personal feeling, I can't deny that certain traits of each sign generally seem to ring true for people. For example, as long as I can remember I have had a love for travel, and a thirst for knowledge of people and places, etc. I love to learn new things, especially words in other languages. I knew these things about myself long before discovering that they are all traits of my sign, which is sagittarius. I have come across people of other signs who tend to take after theirs as well.

If you seriously find astrology interesting, then it is worth studying. Just be cautiously mindful of the fakes out there. Astrology is not about telling people what they want to hear. It's meant to reveal truths in a person's life according to their sign.
Reply:No, it is a waste of time. If you are looking for answers from astrology, it will lead you to wrong answers.

I also agree with the previous answer, it has no basis in science. However, if you are interested in space and stars (astronomy), that is interesting and scientific. There are some cool pictures at www.reasons.org with other interesting information about astronomy.
Reply:A) No

B) You look at the stars and predict the future? So basically we look a these giant balls of gas to predict the ending of the world?

C)Look up books perhaps.
Reply:No.

It has absolutely no basis in science.
